Fish bowls are not perfect for any fish at all! Not even bettas. That is a common cruel myth that needs to be rejected. To live a long healthy life a betta needs atleast three gallons but five is much better. All fish need a large surface area so that oxygen can enter the water and carbon dioxide can leave it. Also, if you put a fish in a bowl you can simple never preform a correct cycle through a bowl with no filtration! This means that toxic ammonia that is released by the fish will build up and kill it. Never keep fish in bowls. It’s cruel and ignorant.
